Contact Us

This is a private reference website, not MPSO, a jail, a court, or another government office. We cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the responsible public office for those services.

Choose the Right Official Source

  • For a mugshot or booking entry, begin with the records-request steps on the home page.
  • For current parish custody or release notifications, use the MPSO LA VINE roster and VINELink paths explained on the home page.
  • For a warrant question, follow Sheriff's Most Wanted and confirm directly with law enforcement.
  • For the outcome of a charge, consult the Morehouse Parish Clerk of Court rather than a booking page.
  • For sentenced Louisiana custody, use the LA DPS&C inmate information page.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use the official BOP or ICE locator linked from the home guide.

Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office

Address: 351 South Franklin Street, Bastrop, LA 71220
Main and records-routing line: (318) 281-4141
Official contact: MPSO contact page

MPSO does not publish a separately named records-unit line, administrative hours, booking-photo form, local fee schedule, or guaranteed turnaround. Call before visiting and confirm the current records custodian and delivery method. The office's 24-hour patrol and communications operation should not be read as 24-hour administrative-counter service.

Jail and Court Contacts

Morehouse Parish Jail: 250 East Walnut Street, Bastrop, LA 71220; (318) 281-9336. Confirm the correct facility before visiting or sending mail.

Morehouse Parish Clerk of Court: 100 East Madison Street, Bastrop, LA 71220; (318) 281-3343. The Clerk is the official path for case disposition after booking.

Requesting a Record

A written request can identify the full legal name, date of birth, booking date or range, booking number if known, and the specific Article 228 booking entry. List the booking photograph separately and ask for electronic delivery, an itemized fee estimate, and the statutory basis for any withholding. Louisiana R.S. 44:31 through 44:35 govern access and response procedure, but they do not guarantee that MPSO will release a photo or produce it within three days.
